Activate Health is a well-respected Allied Health provider in CQ with well-appointed practices in Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Mount Morgan, and Emu Park, including specially equipped therapy gyms and consult rooms. Activate Health has provided best practice rehabilitation and health promotion care for over 10 years with an amazing team of Accredited Exercise Physiologist’s. We are now ready to expand our services into a multidisciplinary team establishing Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams within our Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Mount Morgan, and Emu Park practices. With 10 Full time AEP’s working within our practices, we have a huge existing and loyal clientele that would benefit from a multidisciplinary team, and we therefore have instant referrals waiting in all practices. We have the potential to start full time services within all our practice locations, so effort will be made to work in your local area and minimise travel.

About this Role

This role is for an experienced/senior practitioner who is wanting to take more control of their workload, service types, and intervention delivery (more than 1 year experience in private practice is desirable). Someone who is motivated to work closely with clients whilst also developing new programs and working towards preceptorship of their own team, whilst being supported and aided by our Activate Health operations and administrations team. As this will be a new role within our practices you will work closely with our management team to develop this role and your future OT/ Physio team. You will have full support from our AEP, operational (Director and Practice Manager), and administration team who are excited to welcome new disciplines, and have referrals waiting. This role will pave the way for the ongoing growth of the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams within Activate Health giving exciting opportunities for your professional growth into mentoring, team leadership, and management, with renumeration growth opportunities to match. A balance of clinical time, and non-billable mentoring and program development time will be achieved for this role as determined by the experience of the applicant.

NDIS services (kids to adults of all goals and special needs),
My Aged Care/ Home care package
Workcover return to work programs
NDIS Work readiness programs: vocational training and support for special needs,
Department of Veteran affairs
Private clientele
Medicare referrals (CDM Plans)
In practice, in gym and therapy rooms, hydrotherapy, in school, and home visits performed,
Special populations including Parkinson’s, Oncology, Pediatrics, and seniors.

Best practice and continued development

Activate Health supports professional development and best practice team care with:

Fortnightly Disciplinary meetings, including in-house presentations, group case studies and collaboration, and visitor presentations,
Fortnightly team meetings to ensure full team communication and efficiency
Fortnightly team lunch to ensure member of all practices are included into a cohesive team,
Weekly Non billable professional time, and reportt time as standard.
Efficient calenders, travel time, preperation and notes time as needed.
Non billable time allocated for Practitioner ‘special projects’ or higher roles such as program design, specialisations, operations and marketing roles, mentoring and preceptorship.

Renumeration

Competitive renumeration is being offered as this will be a leadership role, renumeration will be matching the experience level that you bring. $110,000- $140,00 yearly income depending on experience.

Necessary for the Role:

Current AHPRA registration,
Experience in OT or Physio services across a range of services,
Interest in contributing to the development of your discipline and Activate Health business growth
